To improve the data quality of MarkAsRead we made some changes to how reads are counted. Previously, reads were counted multiple times and with this change reads are counted when an item’s status changes from Unread to Read. This change was rolled out late last year and we apologize for not communicating about it sooner.

As a result of this change you may have noticed a drop in the volume for MarkAsRead. This is expected as reads are now only counted when an item’s status changes from Unread to Read.
