Technical Bulletin MC664091 · Published Aug 1, 2023

Message Summary

Outlook mobile users will be able to control the state of Advanced Logging, by enabling it prior to uploading logs to Microsoft.

When this will happen:

Rollout will begin in mid-August 2023 and is expected to be complete by mid-September 2023.

How this will affect your organization:

Currently, users do not have control of the state of Advanced Logging when collecting diagnostics for Microsoft Support Agents. This change will add a toggle in the Collect Diagnostics flow for users to enable Advanced Logging and will reset after 30 days. With Advanced logging enabled, additional diagnostic information will be collected.

What you need to do to prepare:

Admins do not need to take any steps to enable this feature. Users may need to restart the app if the feature does not appear. For more information on what type of information Microsoft collects, please visit this page.
