Message Summary

SharePoint eSignature is Microsoft’s first party electronic signature service which allows users to easily request eSignatures on a PDF document via SharePoint online.  Signers can easily add their electronic signature. Signed documents are saved securely back to SharePoint.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 168828

When this will happen:

Standard Release: We will begin rolling out to the US in late November 2023 and expect to have completed rollout by Q1 2024 We will roll out to other regions in 2024.

How this will affect your organization:

Organizations will be able to easily request signatures from PDFs in SharePoint online.  Signed documents will be saved back to the folder from where the request originated.

This is a PAYGO service with a charge per request.

What you need to do to prepare:

In order to setup SharePoint eSignature, please read the Admin support documentation: Set up Microsoft Syntex eSignature (Preview)

Notes: When setting up billing regions, please specify a region other than the WestUS as SharePoint eSignature is not available in these regions currently.
