From Microsoft Corporation
Technical Bulletin MC332872 · Published Feb 15, 2022

Message Summary

A new view focused on add-in health is being added to the Microsoft 365 Apps health dashboard in the Microsoft 365 Apps admin center. The view will provide information about the reliability and performance of Component Object Model (COM) and Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO) add-ins used by Office apps in your organization.

The view will show information about both public and private add-ins.

  • Public add-ins are created by independent software vendors and are generally available to all worldwide users of Office.
  • Private add-ins are developed by or for an organization for internal use only and are used only by Office users within that organization.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 88907.

When this will happen:

We expect this rollout to begin in early March and expect the rollout to be completed by late April.

How this will affect your organization:

The Add-in health view is intended to help you identify add-ins that might be causing problems for your users. There is no direct impact to your users with the release of the Add-in health view. To provide add-in health information, a small amount of additional data about each add-in is collected from the user’s device and sent to Microsoft.Health Dashboard add-in 1
