From Microsoft Corporation
Technical Bulletin MC396179 · Published Jul 1, 2022

Message Summary

The new Admin app in Microsoft Teams is now available to install from the Teams app store. The Admin app offers a central place for viewing settings and performing core management tasks across Microsoft 365 and Teams.

When this will happen

The app is now available to download from the Microsoft Teams app store.

What you need to do to prepare

To start using the new Admin app experience, go to the app store within Teams and download the app.

How this will affect your organization

The Admin app is designed to make your access to Microsoft 365 & Teams settings and controls more convenient. While the app is generally discoverable by all users in the App Store, only users with administrative rights can use the app. You can add and remove users, manage licenses, update settings for teams, meetings, messages and more, directly from Microsoft Teams. We recommend that you get started exploring the app today to take advantage of the tailored recommendations and resources.

Important: The Admin app is a Microsoft application provided in the Microsoft Teams app store. At this time, the Admin app cannot be managed in the Teams Admin Center using the Manage Apps or the App Permission Policies features; we are working to provide these capabilities in the near future.
