Message Summary

Windows Update for Business deployment service now empowers organizations to access curated lists of recommended drivers, control the offering of drivers to different devices, and monitor the deployment status with intuitive reports. All Windows E3/E5/A3/A5 and Microsoft 365 Business Premium subscribers, as well as their developers, will now receive driver servicing right from Windows Update. To make this even easier, the deployment service is available in Microsoft Graph. Find additional details, as well as several partner testimonies, in Commercial driver and firmware servicing is publicly available.

When will this happen:

Starting February 14, 2023.

How this will affect your organization:

If your organization holds an eligible subscription (E3, E5, A3, A5, or Microsoft 365 Business Premium), your driver deployment task will now be easier. You’ll use the same management tools that you’re already using with Windows Update for Business deployment service. Additionally, you’ll have access to improved analytics and reporting with Windows Update for Business reports.

What you need to do to prepare:

Check your eligibility for this new capability in Windows Update for Business deployment service. Read the complete blog announcement and helpful resources under additional information.
