Message Summary

Your Office 365 subscription is being updated with a new service plan: Information Protection Service. This service plan enables various Microsoft Purview Information Protection features, including native sensitivity labels.

When this will happen:

We will begin rolling this out in early December and expect to complete by late January.

How this will affect your organization

Once the new service plan is deployed to your organization, features that require Information Protection licensing will become available within your Office 365 subscription. This includes a native labeling experience within your Microsoft Office applications. 

What you need to do to prepare
