End users can now use “Hey Cortana” to join meetings and other skills if their Teams rooms are configured to use language en-au, en-ca, en-gb, en-in, en-us.

Note: If your organization does not utilize Teams rooms you can safely disregard this message.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 89162.

When this will happen:

We expect this rollout to begin in late January and be completed by early February.

How this will affect your organization:

Administrators that set up their Teams rooms language to use any of the en-* will be able to enable Cortana in their rooms. This means more end users worldwide can benefit now from having Cortana enabled and working on their Teams Rooms. Learn More

Administrators can configure their Teams Rooms to use any of these languages to give end users the possibility to use Cortana.
