Microsoft 365 Curtain Reveal Tech Bulletin Header

Microsoft 365 Apps, Microsoft 365 Experts

From Microsoft Corporation
Technical Bulletin MC405566 · Published Jul 25, 2022

Message Summary

In Microsoft To Do, we surface tasks from different sources to provide users with a single place for all of their tasks. One aspect we want to ensure is that tasks that are captured will always be linked back to the source of where they were created.

We currently have the provision to support a single link. For tasks created in Planner, To Do provides the link to the Tasks app in Teams.

As part of this feature, we will now support multiple links, so users can open Planner supported tasks in Planner Web or in the Tasks app in Teams.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 93396

When this will happen:

We will begin rollout in late July and expect to complete rollout by early August.

How this will affect your organization:

Microsoft To Do users will see two links for planner supported tasks, one to open the tasks in the Teams App (primary link) and another link to the Planner plan.
