Technical Bulletin MC333940 · Published Feb 17, 2022

Message Summary

We are updating the user experience of the OneDrive Sync Activity Center on Windows and macOS to be more aligned with the Fluent design principles.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 88954.

When this will happen:

We expect this rollout to begin in late February and expect the rollout to be completed by mid-March.

How this will affect your organization:

We do not expect any impact on usability of sync with this change and there is no missing functionality as a result of this update. Changes include:

  1. The settings entry point is now in the top right corner of the window
  2. There is a new command “Recycle Bin” in the footer of the Activity Center which will direct the user to a browser window of the OneDrive for Business cloud recycle bin
  3. The account name will always be reflected in the title even during error scenarios to better reflect which OneDrive account has errors.
