Technical Bulletin MC316433 · Published Jan 20, 2022

Message Summary

As announced at Ignite last November, Microsoft Priva will become the new brand of privacy solutions that help companies build a privacy-resilient workplace. Privacy Management for Microsoft 365 will be rebranded as Microsoft Priva, offering 2 products – Priva Privacy Risk Management and Priva Subject Rights Requests.

When this will happen:

  • We announced the new brand name on November 2nd, 2021.
  • Webpages, documentation, and product UI changes will begin in late January.
  • License and Service plan names will be updated later this year.

How this will affect your organization:

You will start seeing the product UI changes in the Microsoft 365 compliance center. “Privacy management” will be updated to “Priva Privacy Risk Management” and “Subject Rights Requests” will be updated to “Priva Subject Rights Requests” on the left navigation bar. Additionally, “Priva Subject Rights Requests” will be elevated on the left navigation to become more visible.

There are no changes to the product aside from the name change, and no action is required.

What you need to do to prepare:

You may want to update training and documentation as appropriate.
