Updated July 20, 2022: We have updated the rollout timeline below. Thank you for your patience.

We are updating the experience for attachments associated to files from cloud locations connected to Outlook Web App (OneDrive, SharePoint, or third-party file storage providers). In the new experience, links to files from cloud locations will be added as link in the body of the message

When this will happen:

We’ll be gradually rolling this out starting in early August (previously mid-July) and expect the roll out will be completed by mid-September (previously late August).

How this will affect your organization:

After this change rolls out cloud attachments will be substituted by links in the body of the message.Before and after

What you need to do to prepare:

You may consider updating your training and documentation as appropriate.

Nothing. When, these changes go into effect, cloud attachments will be directly replaced by links in the body in all instances.
